Symantec Endpoint Encryption 8.2.1MP14 on Windows 7
When users change their Windows/Active Directory password, the SEE Client automatically updates their password.
Starting in the past few weeks, following a password change, the Pre-Windows logon has started causing an error if a Smart card token is used to login:
An error has occured. Machine will need to be restarted.
Brief Description: The application returned a status of [0x80010006] in the state STATE_AUTH_TOKEN.
Detailed Description:
So far the only solution is to issue a new Smart Card. The current Smart card worked before the password reset, and still works to login to Windows, encrypt e-mail, Register with SEE Client, etc.
