I see the VIP Access Proximity is limited to being paired with only one computer. I have both an iMac and MacBook Pro. It would be nice to be able to pair with both. Is there a way to do this? If not I'd like to suggest it as a feature.

I have a query revarding SEP 12.1.6 compatibility on windows 10 machines.
Specifically rurrounding the outlook plugin functionality, is this still supported on windows 10 operating system.
I am looking to migrate windows 7 desktops to windows 10 and am curious to see if any issues should arise with the 12.1.6 or if i need to upgrade SEP to 14
What are your opinions?

Emails are still being blocked by messagelabs from our email server @ 198.49.0.3 to a bunch of our customers using Symantec.
Checking the ip at http://ipremoval.sms.symantec.com/lookup/ says “198.49.0.3 does not have a negative reputation and therefore cannot be submitted for investigation”
We called Symantec support, and they refused to talk to us (I guess we might be spammers) and told us to get our customers that are Symantec customers to call instead.
We had two companies enquire now and create tickets. One was simply told “that IP is not being blocked”.
Another stated we were sending wrongly to cluster6a.us.messagelabs.com instead of cluster6.messagelabs.com, apparently the “a” servers are spam traps, and suggested we should flush our DNS.
For the customer in question, our DNS correctly returns cluster6 and cluster6a, with 6 being the lower number. Our email server tries 6 first and fails, and only then fails over to the cluster6a server, which times out.
Testing using telnet to port 25 to cluster6 returns 550 Requested action aborted [4] 4410, please visit www.messagelabs.com/support for more details about this error message.
This just started last week. I checked mxtoolbox and there are no blacklists, errors etc.
This is causing a major headache for us, and is really poor support by Symantec.
Just wondering has anyone encountered this coming into to any SMG appliances they manage. Just read about this new variant and know I will be asked soon if our SMG protects us from this one. Recently I detected that one of my outgoing policies detected an external mail as if it were internal .... which caused that an automatic response email was sent to a domain that did not correspond ... what could be the problem for this to happen?
I received many errors like this for that mail. Maybe like 50 errors...

We use Symantec Encryption Desktop extensively for its fileshare encryption feature, but the software has not been compatible with Windows 10 security updates for the past 3 months. When installing specific updates and then accessing a SED encrypted MS Office document it either triggers a BSOD, or we get an error message stating that the file is corrupted.
The updates causing this are as follows:
KB4041691: released in October
KB4048953: released in November
KB4053579: released in December
I currently have a case open for the issue which I created last month but havent heard anything on progress on Symantec's end yet. I know that Symantec is aware of the issues steming from patches released in October and November, but not sure about this month even though I've let my case handler know about it.
Has anyone else recieved any information on when this issue may be resolved? Leaving systems unpatched is not a workable solution and may result in removing SED from our systems.
Is there anyway to force the IPS to ignore the 10.200.x.x range? I would have thought that the allow access rule would have stopped this type of blocking

We are unable to access most Google assets in FireFox when going through an IPSEC connection to the Cloud Security service. Oddly, on the same machine using the same browser, google.com and other Google sites come up fine using UA.
This is only an issue with FireFox via an IPSEC connection to WSS.
We do NOT have SSL inspection enabled on our WSS.
Chrome and IE are unaffected.
Hello, we are using SEPM 14 Mp2. Is the Host based integrity monitoring feature same as File Integrity monitoring (FIM) ? Can we leverage it to track and prevent unauthorized changes to system files, folders , registry etc?
Currently we allow all users to add exceptions to Symantec. If we were to disable all client restrictions for creating exceptions, would this affect all currently created exceptions or only new ones after this point.
Is there a way for all clients to report back to the SEPM with that exceptions are configured?
We would like to manage all exceptions through SEPM and not invididually on each system.
Some of the users reported that machines becomes unresponsive when they transfer large files like 100-150 MB to USB or HTTP. When they uninstall DLP agent from the machine, Transfering file will be quick no issues in performance. I know DLP scans everyfile and it slows down the processing of files but I wanted to know best practices to fix this issue. Please advise
