Black Screens

I need a solution

We have numerous Windows 2012 R2 servers, virtual and physical that will randomly lock up with a black screen.  The servers are fully patched with Windows updates.  When the lock up occurs the server will still be responsive, you can ping the server, services continue to function (for awhile) but you cannot connect with RDP/console.  When we uninstall Symantec the issue goes away.  We have tried all the latest Symantec version and the issues continues to happen.

Clean Uninstall of Oracle 11.2.0.4.0

I need a solution

We are planning to migrate our DLP Database to New Server with Brand New Install of Oracle 11.2.0.4.0

Problem is, the Oracle was installed on the wrong drive more than a year ago.

How to do clean uninstall? Symantec_DLP_14.5_Oragle_11g_Installation_Upgrade_Guide doesn't explain this.

MS SQL Server 2008 DB Size on DLP

Hi All,

I run the DLP Network Discover on MS SQL Database. However, I am unable to trace how much GB of Data Scan by DLP on SQL. Is there any way we can verify that DLP scan the complete SQL Database. As from the DLP Scan, I can see it completes the scan for 1.5GB DB in 6hours whereas for 150GB DB it completes in 14hours.

Hello,

I have PC with Windows 10 Fall Creators Update and SEP 12.1RU6 MP9. I want to upgrade to SEP 14RU1 and I downloaded the file SEP64_TO_3752_GE.ZIP (I use the german version). None of the EXE-Files included in this ZIP-File work. A file with the correct build number of SEP 12.1RU6 MP9 (7369) does not exist in the ZIP-File. When I try to install one of the files included in the ZIP-file, I get a message that the program is not istalled correctly. What can I do?

bonjour;

depuis quelques jours, le client Symantec bloque l'accès à l'internet, suite a des scripts qui sont installés au niveau des machines utilisateurs, et ces scripts la essaient de connecter des sites internet,

les scripts sont nombreux et propagés au niveau de réseau

est ce que je peux bloquer les scripts qui connectent l'internet à l'aide de la console SEPM, sans etres besoin de connaitre le script ou son extentions

Hi All,

While trying to install IT Analytics for DLP 14.6 I am getting this error. Microsoft SQL Server ADOMD.Net must be installed on the IT Analytics Server.

ADOMD.Net is installed but still receiving the same error.

Applications being removed by Symantec Endpoint Protection 14 RU1

I need a solution

We're seeing an issue where certain applcations are being removed from our systems after reboots by Symantec Endpoint Protection 14 RU1.

Among the applications being removed are Chrome, Word, Excel and our IM client.

Is anyone else seeing this issue?

We've already tried adding them as exceptions to scans and disabling Memory Exploit Mitigation on the problematic systems.

Anyone have any ideas how to stop this?

hi,

does SMG 10.6.2 supports active directory 2016 ? recently one of my customers upgraded the AD to 2016 from 2008 and all the emails were hold in queue emails released only when  i deleted the DDS .

I have over-deployed my Symantec Endpoint clients but im planning to purchase more licenses.
However until i purchased more licenses will my over-deployed clients be at risk?

What security risks do i have now?

Duplicate HardwareID

I need a solution

Hello,

I have duplicate HardwareID on my clients (around 200 computers).

I have checked this link https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH163349.html and followed the steps without success.

I think my clients don't send duplicate HardwareID error to SEPM and in fact I don't know where to check this kind of error (468 and 470).

Do I have to do something else on the clients or SEPM to solve my issue ?

I need a solution

I am wondering if I am the only one that misses the possibility to properly document the SEP policies and configuration.

As a matter of fact, the only way of documenting the policies is to capture a load of screenshots and paste them into a Word (or whatever text format) file.
Perhaps (and I sincerely do hope so) I am not informed, but ever since I am maintaining Symantec AV-Environments I could not find any decent solution to this.

Does anyone have information on this?

The FileReaderxxx.log indicate more information about, my questions is the error "- out of memory" is about a physical memory of the endpoint server or a configuration of the server?

How to migrate SEPM embedded database to SQL server?

I need a solution

I recently installed SEP14 with embedded database.

Now we have to generate reports in a requested format that we can only build with sql statements and therefore I want to migrate the database to an existing MS SQL server.

How can this be done without losing configuration data and connectivity to the clients?

Somewhere in the forum discussions I found a link to a Symantec document, but it was dead.

Java and Proxy SG

I need a solution

Hello everyone,

Like some Proxy Sg user i facing an issue with Java and the WebGui.

I'm running a windows 7 box and need to connect to a SG200-10 (SGOS 6.5.9.8) and SG300 (SGOS 6.7.2.2).

Regarding the TECH245893 i should install the 1.8.121 java version to make the WebGui run properly, but it don't.

I try different vesion (1.8.101, 1.8.141, 1.8.151) supress install etc... without success.

If anyone have a fix, it will be greatly appreciate.

The problem with the flow of mail messages from the server 141.105.65.33 When you try to send an email, you get the answer "501 Connection rejected by policy [7.7] 9504, please visit www.messagelabs.com/support for more details about this error message". Can we find out about the reasons?
