Symantec Endpoint Protection Manger upgrade

Hi,

I got a task to upgrade the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manger v 11.0.5002.333 to the newest version and move it from Win 2008 x64 R1 SP2 server to the Win 2008 R2 x64 server.

What is the best practice - install the newest version inplace and than move or first move and than do the installation?

Are there any known issues about such an upgrade or move I should be aware of before I start?

Any comments are very welcome.
