Have since upgraded my PC to Windows 7 x64. Now when I try to access the remote console, I get the following:
Note: The Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager remote console requires Java Runtime software. If your computer does not have the correct version of Java Runtime, the correct version is installed automatically. You may have to adjust your Internet Explorer settings for ActiveX and Java to permit installation.
After the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) is installed, go to the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager page to install and log on to the remote console.
Java is installed, both 32 and 64 bit versions. This seems to indicate it wants an older version, so I also install that and then click the link in the first screen. To which I am then greeted with:
Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager
From the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager, you can manage endpoint protection, develop and automatically update security policies, and monitor policy enforcement.
Use the link below to install or access the remote console. On Microsoft Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008, you can install the remote console only if you have administrative privileges on this computer. After you install the remote console, you can set the privilege level so that standard users can access the console. Right-click the remote console icon, then select Properties > Advanced > Run as Administrator.

Click here to download and install Java 6 update 26 and the remote console application.
Yet despite having the correct versions installed, it still doesnt work. Anyone got any ideas? It works fine on 32 bit windows.
