I have a user here that will start doing some remote access to their computer. When she tries to access the logical partition we encrypted she gets an error stating it can't be opened while in remote desktop
She currently has 10.3.2 MP7 (Build 16127) (PGP SDK 4.2.1) installed.
I'm not seeing any settings on my machine, but is there a way to allow her to remote into her machine and access the drive?

I’m preparing to submit support case regarding issue we’re having with SEPM update duration (it takes more then 1 hour for SEPM to complete new definitions DL/preparation). I would like to submit couple of LiveUpdate Status logs (below) as an example but I’m unable to find actual log file.
Does this LiveUpdate Status window have log file and where is it located?

I have a some question. We configured policy in "Content Filtering Rules". In this policy we allowed some types of files, all another we block. Question: if some files do not belong to this policy, so Does SMSFE scan this files which skip by all configured policies?

Hi all, I've just upgrade my SEPM from 12.1 RU6 MP8 to 14.0.1 RU1. I'm testing the new feature : «Deception», and got an error message on my computer every two minutes : "Fail to load the script. runapp.vbs (access denied)"
I can see the folder C:\Windows\temp\symtemp with only «System» account as owner.
Anyone else have the same problem ?

We've installed symantec DLP 14.6 on a Redhat Entreprise server 7.2 and by default the tomcat port for the enforce app is 8443 as we have created a new user protect to launch the vontu services.
This user (protect) is not allowed to use port <1024.
So how can we change this port 8443 to standard HTTPS port 443 ?

I'm running Symantec 12.1.6 on Windows 7. I noticed that my clients is not updating its Policy but they are getting Virus Definition updates from the Manager. Scheduled Scans are also running and Manager is getting updates about it.(All Clients are not updating its Policy.)
I tried the following:
1. Manual update of policy from the client
Under the Connection Status, it says "Not Connected. Internal Error"
2. Upate Sylink file
3. Move the client out of the group and move it back.
4. Disable Enable Auto Protect.
Still cannot update the policy.
Maybe you experience this? I need someone to help me out.

My engineer say that sepm content showing very old date. Is something that happened recently?
Is it possible to change the primary server? If I have two servers with replication and server A is currently the primary server, can I make server B the primary one instead? and then could I remove server A from replication, leaving all of the clients communicating with server B and also meaning that I could re-introduce replication later on if I wanted to?

I'm unsuccessful at making a call to get the system version via the SystemApi as I'm seeing a HTML document looks to contain fields for the credentials. Is there a document identifying the exact format of the GET call including any headers for credentials needed to access the API? The version of the Management System I'm dealing with is 1.7.1.1.
I have an older server serving as my SEP 12.1 server. All my workstations and server clients are currently on that server, with version 12.1 installed on them as well.
I just built up and configured a new SEP 14 server. I see an option in the Install Settings to "Remove existing Symantec Endpoing Protection client software that cannot be uninstalled". I get the feeling thats not what I need though. I want to upgrade my clients as seamlessly as possible. Would it be a matter of just pushing a new Install Package from my new server to them? I'm decomissioning the old server as soon as I get all the clients migrated.

Does anyone know if SEP is affected by AVGator. I opened up a case and Symantec said that there is no patch so far because there were no reports of any successful exploit on SEP / SEPM.
I can only take that to mean Symantec isn't taking any action until it is shown to be broken. Is there any additional information anyone might know about this on Symantec products?
