I have one computer in my company with a Samsung SSD 850 EVO hard drive. It's not listed under the Supported Disk Types for Drive Encryption, but the 840 EVO is. From the 850 data sheet on the Samsung site they state: "The 850 EVO provides the same data encryption feature as the 840 EVO does." Can you confirm whether or not I can use hardware encryption while having the computer managed by SEE? If hardware encryption and SEE are incompatible can I disable hardware encryption and just use SEE drive encryption? Normally I'd test this out myself, but it's for my CEO so I want to get my ducks in a row first. He has a backup laptop which is identical with the exception of the hard drive which is an 840 EVO. I finally got that computer encrypting after installing the Intel RST, but it's encrypting using software encryption not hardware.
