Symantec.cloud endpoint small business with smart firewall disabled turns off Windows firewall

Can somebody please help with the definitive answer?

I am quite happy with the Windows firewall set up on my Small Business Endpoint PCs and therefore used Endpoint without the smart firewall enabled.

Upon migration to symantec.cloud, the Smart Firewalls are still disabled but so are the windows firewalls.

How can I permanently enable the windows firewall and why does the symnatec product disable the windows firewall if its own firewall component is disabled?
