We recently upgraded our SEPM to 12.1.4023.4080. Our managed clients were all updated to 12.1.4013.4013, and we were able to create install packages for 12.1.4013.4013 managed clients. We also have some old install packages that install 12.1.671.4971 of the client. Has anyone ever successfully created an install packaged for UNMANAGED SEP clients from within SEPM? I don't see an option in the SEPM that allows for the creation of this type of package. I've also tried following instructions that suggest others use sylinkdrop to change a client from managed to unmanaged. Can someone verify and post how to do this? I think I've found sylinkdrop on the SEPM server. Some posts have said replacing the sylink.xml file using sylinkdrop is needed, but I'm not sure what the path to sylink.xml should be the one that sylinkdrop uses. Is the sylink.xml file taken from the SEPM server? Our install files been downloaded from Symantec's FileConnect, and we don't appear to have any optical media that I can use. Any detailed instructions on how to troubleshoot or allow us to get the UNMANAGED 12.1.4013.4013 client installed would be appreciated!
