I am running an SMG 10.0.3-3 virtual appliance on Vmware ESXi 3.5.
Recently one of my fairly new users reported that external mail was no longer reaching him. First I checked my internal mail server (has a habit of setting quotas for new users) and quickly determined that no quota was set and no external mail for the user was reaching the internal server so I looked at the mail gateway.
If I go to Administration -> Find User, his email address is successfully found from the LDAP server and he is in the default policy group with all other users.
If I go to Status -> Message Audit Logs and filter by recipient on his username, it returns "Application Error". Initially it did not do this if I searched within the last hour only, but after I tried to sent him an email from an external account, it then returns "Application Error" for the last hour too. If I filter for other usernames I get the log entries as normal.
I have rebooted the virtual appliance a couple of times (at one point messages for other users were held up, but showing in the logs) but the problem persists.
Anyone got any idea what could be wrong or how I can fx it?
