Data Insight 4.0 connection to DLP 12.0

So I can easily add the Data Insight 4.0 connection from inside DLP without any problem.  When I go to make the connection from Data Insight back to DLP I can't seem to get it.

I've followed the instructions to export the DLP cert and import into cmmd.keystore.  I've even tried using various aliases beyond the suggested "dlp" one, including the hostname and fqdn of the DLP box.

In the end whether I use the datainsight user I added to the DLP console,  or the builtin Administrator DLP account,  and specifiying correct reports,  I get the standard error when I try and test the connection and see that it fails.

Anyone either have this working or know a good way to debug the issue?
