I need a solution

Hi All,

We are facing a issue in the HP Probook 4330s after installing the symantec endpoint encryption software .

when we start the laptop it dose not come to the pre- boot stage and continius reboot . But when we shutdow the laptop

for 10 Min and then boot the laptop the  preboot authentication  screen will come and once we give the password it

gets booted in window 7 and work perfectly fine . till now we have upgraded the BIOS olso but still the issue is persesting .

Please let me know who we can resolve this issue.

System Details

Model - HP Probook 4330s

RAM - 4 GB

OS - win7 Professional 32 bit

Till now the activities perform.

Troubleshooting performed so far by the Symantec Advance/Backline team : -

1.       Hard drive controller have been modified to IDE channel. No RAID settings found in the BIOS.

2.       BIOS update performed and verified. It has the latest version. This was to confirm the firmware update  and compare the information that is already added for this make and model.

3.       Hardware customize package has been tested

4.     Driver update is performed and confirmed in the WinAudit Report

The only issue we found in our engineering database with HP Pro-Book 4330S is a hibernation issue which also resulted in reboot loop. This however is already addressed in

version 8.0.0 (Release notes attached)

5.       Removed HP protect tool to verify conflict trigger.

6.       Customized third party application to verify conflicts

7.       Tested with vanilla Windows 7 OS without any other App and found the same issue. This indicates a possible hardware/firmware conflict with SEFD client database.

8.       Found no recovery partition

9.       Startup and recovery under OS was set to ‘Automatically reboot’, so BSOD occurrence cannot be confirmed; consequently no Memory dump generated. However, we have  configured to collect the full memory dump.

10 Tested the new MP7 pack also but still the issue has not resolved
