I need a solution
Hey Guys,
This is a very odd scenario we have here, We were on the middle of pushing SEP clients, as we add the clients and validate each, we found out this weird behavior:
after entering a hostname "testmachine-pc"
it will retrieve it as "jgs1292" but it shows a correct ip (192.168.15.24)
does anyone ever have this problem?
we do have jgsxxxx naming on our network though.
and when we try to nbtstat the testmachine-pc it shows the ip is 192.168.15.24 and vice versa so the registered data on the dns is correct.
NOTE: We're using the remote push from the SEPM console itself and chooses hostname as a way of adding clients.
Thanks,
