We deployed DLP to monitor files being sent out of our network. However, it is also slowing down users by scanning files user have on their workstations that they have been working on locally and are copying **TO** and between file servers on our local network.
For instance a user may have files or documents on the local C drive of their laptop that they have been working on while away from the office. They connect to the office network and attempt to copy or sync these files to a file server for backup and the Endpoint agent pops up scanning these files. Another issue is a user copying files from one server to another or even between folders on the same file server. DLP is popping up there also.
How can we exclude this so that the Endpoint agent only scans files for sensitive content when the users are copying data from the servers to their workstations not the other way around?
