In Windows 8, it seems Windows Firewall is not always being "managed" by SEP. We are using Symantec.Cloud with SEP SBE 2013.
Two identical workstations (same make/model/os/patches + same group/policy in Symantec.Cloud):
Workstation #1: This one does not abide by the Firewall Rules I define on Symantec.Cloud site (so I must use GPO/Build-in firewall to define rules)

Workstation #2: This one DOES abide by Firewall Rules I define on Symantec.Cloud site

Both workstations belong to same group/policy on Symantec.Cloud, which opens inbound TCP ports 135 & 445.
So WMI works on Workstation #2.
But for Workstation #1, I must enable the GPO. "Windows Firewall: Allow inbound remote administration exception"
Workstation #2: Don't have to do anything because as it abides by the Firewall Rule I
Is this a bug?
I don't have this problem at all on our Windows XP workstations as SEP simply disabled the built-in firewall. But according to THIS THREAD, SEP no longer does this in Windows 7+?
